How to be Business Casual – Important Life Lessons from Chromeo
Do you know everything you need to know about keeping it clean on tour, showing a lady a nice time, and just generally looking your best? We didn’t think so. Luckily Chromeo – your favourite, homegrown, fashion-forward, retro-electro duo, are experts on the very subjects above, among other things. The high-class gentlemen that they are, Chromeo took time out of their busy tour schedule to answer some crucial questions for us.
CHROME is a steely grey, lustrous, hard metal that looks best with a high polish, much like Chromeo. Name five things that are made of Chrome that have had a positive impact on your life.
That’s hard! We don’t like chrome rims, we don’t like chrome accessories. They make chrome watches and glasses and we don’t like them. The mountain bike I bought when I was 14 was made of chromoly — that’s pretty much it. We only like Chromeo.
Tell us about five things that ‘Chromeo’ like to be doing “when the night falls”
1. Get our swerve on.
2. Make some calls.
3. Groom our mustaches and eyebrows.
4. Practice dance moves in front of the mirror.
5. End up staying in listening to Delegation records. Hoping she calls back.
Describe five ways you like to show a girl you’re not that shy, that you’re that type of guy.
1. You can do a pirouette in front of her.
2. You can take her by the hand and dance in front of all her friends — raggamuffin style.
3. You can get on one bended knee and interpolate a Boyz II Men song.
4. You can charm her parents.
5. You can tag her name on a wall somewhere with a heart next to it.
Aside from washing your hands, please help out your fans by sharing four other activities you do every day to make sure you keep it “Nice n Clean”.
1. Wet Wipes on tour. The musician’s best friend.
2. Lysol disinfectant wipes on every surface.
3. We bring our own pillows and bed sheets on the tour bus.
4. When exiting a toilet bathroom, always use TP to open the door.
5. Floss daily. In every way possible.
What five things (items of clothing, accessories, etc…) are essential for pulling together the ultimate Business Casual look, and what one item/element is definitely a deal breaker?
1. A suit with an open shirt and no tie.
2. White pants.
3. No socks. Ever. Gentlemen don’t wear socks.
4. Mocassins.
5. Crossing your legs when seated.
The ultimate deal breaker are Tom’s. Tom’s shoes are the new Crocs. Only for suckers.
